The new 4499 cc V8 Ferrari is the first direct-injection engine for mid-rear mounted. Has a very low height of the piston compression typical of racing engines that have helped to achieve its compression ratio of 12.5:1. Featuring traditional flat plane crankshaft, the engine produces 570 hp at 9,000 rpm and with an extraordinary power of 127 hp / liter, establishes a new benchmark not only for the range Ferrari and the company's history, but also the segment. The maximum torque of 540 Nm at 6,000 rpm, over 80 percent of what is available from 3250 rpm. Specification is a peak torque of 120 Nm / liter. However, what is truly extraordinary is the amount of torque, while maintaining high levels of power at low revs.
Of the 458 Ferrari Italy, Maranello has brought a highly distinctive car back to its 8 cylinders. The company now offers two models that share a common DNA of the race, both outstanding athletic and fun to drive in the Ferrari tradition, it is true, but two very different types of customers. While the Ferrari California has been created for owners who require a more versatile sport with a real advantage, Ferrari 458 Italy is designed for owners, whose priority is not to compromise on performance on the road with a Days ability occasionally, but that still requires a car that is used in day-to guide days, as all models of Ferrari.
